Public Humanities Projects

the tiny journal

In 2018, I founded an online nonprofit literary magazine that publishes short fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Through this nonprofit, I’ve run internship programs for high school students and undergraduates interested in learning about publishing, and we also raised over two-hundred dollars for the World Literacy Foundation in 2020. Published semi-annually, we publish work that often engages environmental themes so as to recognize the rich work that is produced at the intersection of creative and critical thought. We also regularly publish lessons on creative writing craft on our blog, The Flash.

Animalia Narrativa

This public-facing blog is where I document my research findings about animals in literature. Many of these posts are colloquial in nature as the purpose of the blog is to both educate and inspire broader interest in the field of critical animal studies.
